Either way, this time will go quickly which means there are steps you should take to plan for life after high school. St. John’s is here to help you prepare for these next steps and will assist students with career choices, college choices, scholarship applications, and course selections.

College Visits
Throughout the year, colleges, universities, and other post-secondary schools visit St. John’s. These visits occur during the school day and students are allowed time to visit with these representatives. In addition, seniors or juniors planning on attending college are allowed two days to visit college campuses. A college visit form, available from the school counselor, must be completed and submitted one week prior to the scheduled visit for approval.

Financial Aid/Scholarships
FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the form you need to fill out to receive financial aid from the federal government to help pay for college. Many states and colleges also use the FAFSA to determine which students will receive financial aid and how much they are eligible to receive.
Deadline: You can file the FAFSA as early as October 1 for the following academic year. It’s a good idea to submit the application as soon as possible because financial aid is often given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn More About the FAFSA
